“Woryijan”

On August 9, 2023 International Day of the World's Indigenous Peoples and on this day, Black Island Girl Multimedia launched a 10-minute podcast episode called Woryijan (Women); Kalinago women and Intersectionality.

Happy International Day of the World’s Indigenous Peoples.

This podcast episode is part of a major research project for a masters degree in media production that featured interviews of over 10 Kalinago women, and captured  two of them Dr. Velma Valmond and Vincia Casey in a 10-minute podcast called Woryijan (Women); Kalinago women and Intersectionality.  

I would like to dedicate this podcast to the late Dr. Velma Valmond.
