Ebony Empress & Foxy Jael Deliver the Ultimate Bouyon Summer Anthem With “Back Up Your Chat” Remix

By Sémaj Bernard

Dominican bouyon artists Ebony Empress and Foxy Jael are heating up the Caribbean music scene with the official release of “Back Up Your Chat” featuring Foxy Jael; a bold, energetic bouyon remix that is quickly becoming one of the hottest songs of the summer.

Produced by YoJoshii and Yung Pierre, mixed by Cleverns Pierre, and mastered by Khallion, “Back Up Your Chat” combines infectious bouyon rhythms with confident, no-nonsense lyrics that celebrate women knowing their worth. The song was written by Everlyne Leandra Walters and Aurelle Joseph and recorded at Felix Studio.

The release also marks another major milestone for Foxy Jael, whose debut single “Ah Coming” introduced fans to her fearless personality and commanding musical style. Now, with “Back Up Your Chat,” the rising entertainer is proving she is one of the fresh female voices helping to push bouyon music into a new era.

During a recent livestream interview on Jael’s show, Ebony Empress revealed that “Back Up Your Chat” was actually the first song she ever created. However, she decided to revive and modernize the track years later to fit today’s sound. “I decided to just bring it back years after because the beat has changed a little,” she explained.

Lyrically, the song delivers a direct message to men who promise everything but deliver nothing. Ebony Empress explained that the inspiration came from dealing with men who “have more talk than action,” adding, “Everything that you saying that you will do, you’re not doing.”

Foxy Jael’s feature adds an extra layer of flair and attitude to the remix. Speaking about joining the collaboration, she shared, “I heard the song and I was like, ‘Yeah, I like the vibe.’” Ebony Empress also praised Jael’s performance, saying her verse “goes straight to the point, no long talk.”

With catchy one-liners, empowering energy, and undeniable chemistry between both artists, “Back Up Your Chat” is shaping up to be one of the standout bouyon songs of 2026 and a certified anthem for women all summer long.
